Finster, the game-miester at Top of Cool has noted an interesting piece of programming in the game Galactic Civ II: if the taxation rate is kept low, the outcome in your efforts to build up your virtual galactic civilization go much better than if you jack up your tax rate.

The game model has lower taxes associated with greater population growth, as well apparently greater productivity! I don’t think Laffer has a credit in the game, but perhaps he and the Gipper both should have one.
