The McCain-Kennedy Illegal Alien Amnesty Act is being held up in the Senate by Senators concerned about voter backlash reaction to the scheme. Fancy that!

Terrible. Immigration is known to reduce the size of government, and instead our “conservative” government moves to block it.
Not that surprising, considering this is a same bunch that gave us national healthcare (the medicare drug plan) and national education (NCLB), but still disappointing.
