As noted before, this is an idea that we need to be moving with! It’s really a MUCH superior method for doing the heavy lifiting into orbit.
This is a very interesting posting in its own right. Many of the comments are just as interesting. (Including an assortment of comments from moonbat half-cocked luddites and nay-sayers, which I suppose are interesting also in a pathological sense.)

I have some sympathy for the posters. For years we’ve been deluged with rhetoric claiming that big business is out to ruin the environment and wreck the economy in search of the grail of profit.
Which like all propaganda has a kernel of truth. Add in outright thieves like the crew running Enron and no wonder people are wary.
Still. The people who want to do this have children, want to continue to breath fresh air, and we even like llamas. We’ll proceed with due care and caution.
Still, ‘trust and verify’. We’ll make the process as open as we’re allowed by the various and sundry laws – and we invite everyone’s help.
